The town of St. George's is the capital of Grenada, an island country in the eastern Caribbean Sea. Located on the island's southwestern coast, the town is its chief port and commercial center.

The landmarks in St. George's include a fort and Roman Catholic, Anglican, and Presbyterian churches. The Government House is located on a slope overlooking the town. The inner harbor, called the Carenage, is lined with boats.

Cacao, nutmeg, mace, and bananas are exported from the town's port. Local industries include sugar processing and rum distilling. Tourism is also an important source of income.

French settlers founded Saint George's in 1650. It served as the capital of the former British Windward Islands from 1885 and 1958. Population (2001 estimate), 3,900.
