About a third of the students are over the age of 25. A small percentage of students live on campus. The academic calendar is divided into quarters. The school awards associate and bachelor's degrees. Fields of study include various types of engineering and related technologies, allied health, and business. About a fifth of the full-time faculty hold doctorate degrees. Oregon Institute of Technology is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and participates in men's basketball and women's softball.
