(born 1962), U.S. pop singer and choreographer, born in San Fernando Valley, Calif.; began jazz and tap dance lessons at age 10; became one of the Laker Girls, the cheerleading squad for the Los Angeles basketball team, and eventually head cheerleader and choreographer; talent was discovered in 1984 by the Jackson family, who asked her to choreograph one of their videos; won an Emmy award for her choreography on The Tracey Ullman Show; her first album, Forever Your Girl (1988), produced 4 gold singles and 1 platinum single; released Spellbound in 1991.
